Ray, the price of the Treo may not come down, but expect its UI to improve dramatically in order to compete — even before its launch the iPhone already has Nokia changing their tune about touchscreen technology:

I can’t remember any other cell phone generating this much hype, so clearly Apple’s PR dept has done its Job well (pun intended). I think we’ll see the current multi-function gear come down in price (like red-laser DVDs), but competitors will come up with their own flashy new gear to compete against Apple.
Mac people, FYI about the 10.4.10 update –Intel people are reporting problems with it, so you may not want to install it until the problem is fixed…
