I agree with Mike. Palm's PIMs are superior to what RIM offers. RIM needs to work on their calendar and task management apps.

Hey Mike,

Wasn't it Steve Ballmer of Microsoft who dissed the iPhone, only to have his WinMo market share later gobbled up by it?

I've yet to find anything that matches the Palm's PIMs, so I'm stuck. I have a rotten CFed LifeDrive which I will probably downgrade to an OS 4 unit via ebay. OS 5 is rotten, G2 is rotten, and Palm itself is rotten. Colligan has run the company into the ground and should have the sense to resign.

You didn't even mention the iPhone, which Colligan blithely dismissed before it was ever revealed. Who's laughing now, Colligan?

AC:
I haven't had a Treo--I've owned 2 Tungstens and a cheap Zire, but since getting my Zire in 2003, I've come to use my PDA every day. I don't use my cell phone's calendar and contacts much since they won't sync with my Mac (I use the PC-friendly LG Chocolate). Hotsync is tempermental ata best, and I'm constantly discovering that a contact has four copies of the same phone number in the profiele, or I end up with 3 Christmases on Dec 25.
I'm still amazed at how quickly Palm has been replaced by Blackberries. At work, I don't know anyone else who's still using a Palm PDA. Everyone used to have one, but now not now. If they can come up with next year's iPhone, they might get back into the race, but otherwise I think my next PDA will be a Mac-compatible smartphone made by someone else, and with a Microsoft OS on it. Yuck!
