Every year when Remembrance Day comes around, I can only imagine war as a relic of Canada’s distant past, when innocent young adults were seduced away from the tedium of farm life by crisp military uniforms and the promise of valour overseas.
And now, for many of our neighbours to the south, it seems that everything old is new again. On this day I am especially proud to be Canadian, and grateful that we’re not sending our own into this pointless war.
